EGSS Airport Taxiway Issues

Featured Replies

EGSS Airport from iniBuilds (in MSFS 2020) seems to be broken in some places. The entire taxiway closest to the Runway have bump/drop on the floor. I've uninstalled and reinstalled this scenery but the issue persists. When I uninstall and load the default EGSS airport, the issue isn't there, so I can rule out this airport clashing with another EGSS or something.

See images attached for reference. Have more but unable to upload due to Max file size.

Seen this for a while now but though it would get fixed.

Could this be fixed if it's reproducible on your end too. Or if not, then could you support with some troubleshooting as I'm not sure what else could be causing this issue.

Thank you.

Can confirm same issue here in msfs 2024, please can we have an update on this? Thanks

Hello,

Please make sure you have tried the following:

Clearing your Scenery Indexes -

To do that locate your folder by following the path below:
MSFS 2020

Quote

MS Store: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes
Steam: %APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\SceneryIndexes

MSFS 2024

Quote

MS Store: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\SceneryIndexes
Steam: %APPDATA%\Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024\SceneryIndexes

Then delete the contents inside but leave the folder intact. The indexes will rebuild on next load of FS.

This should solve the issue.

I deleted the file egss from the mentioned folder, do I have to delete all the files there?

Above is the result after deleting only the e

gss file

I deleted the MSFS 2024 cache, recompiled Layout.Json, and deleted the scenery index. No result. The problem still exists. The scene is not compatible with MSFS 2024.

Support sent me a solution: you actually need to disable the Gaya simulation scene that comes with the premium upgrade for Msfs2024.

in MSFS Content Manager/My library (2024), search for EGSS
in the search result, you see a line for Premium Upgrade/World Update
to the right of Premium Upgrade, there is a blue 'list' icon, click it to expand all the content inside Premium Upgrade
in the expanded list, find EGSS and uninstall it

then everything is fine.
