There are a lot of issues with snow coverage along the perimeter roads and along the approach path, plus I spotted a buffalo wandering the ground as well. 🙂

Hi @LukeFF

Apologies for delayed response. But both of these are core-sim issues.

The sim adds a snow exclusion around roads (you can see this on the default LOWI as well) and currently offers no way to overlay or hide these roads as they're added in a layer above scenery by the sim, driven by their own vector data.

Same with Fauna (animals), these are dynamically generated by the sim with no way to create any exclusion zones for them. Only workaround for now is to disable them in the Graphics settings.

Thanks

I am a bit late to the party, but the issue with snow is not, that the roads are not covered, which reflects how it is in real life (snow will be removed there and also will melt there prior to grass), but the strange artefacts at the edges of the perimeter road and along the approach path lights. This is scnerey induced and has nothting to do with limitations of MSFS 2024.

@wolfko That is precisely what the comment above was referring to, and it is indeed a sim limitation. Please re-read the comment above to understand.

The "grass" around the roads is part of the sim's road/vector data overlay, which isn't taking the snowfall into account. The sim currently does not allow custom scenery to overwrite this sim vector data or layer above it.
