Lighting in cockpit partially working if start cold and dark

Featured Replies

Noticed tonight that if you start cold and dark then the pedestal lighting on the FO’s side does work (no other lighting does as identified in other threads).  Conversely, if you load in and start on a departure runway, then the FO pedestal lighting doesn’t work.

Hello,

Apologies for the late reply. This is a known issue and has been fixed pending an update push to the simulator from MS/Asobo.

Thank you

Yes, thanks. It’s totally frustrating that the lighting issues were fixed several months ago, but are not being pushed by MS/Asobo for us to be back enjoying this aircraft.

And another month further on and still no resolution to this. I can’t be the only one who finds this quite ridiculous and unacceptable.

@BoeingSpeedbird it turns out that there is a workaround. If you go into control options and find "toggle glareshield lights" and "toggle pedestal lights" and assign keys to these, you can then load in, turn up the dials and then press these keys and the lights come to life

If only we’d known this months ago! Great find.
