Hi,

I made sure there are no other conflicting bindings (such as the Cockpit Free Look) assigned to the Right Click button in the mouse.

However, no amount of pulling/pushing (I see the action is taking place) will switch it from RWY TRK to HDG. 

Any help?

Its hard to say what may the issue without any screenshots or videos as to what you were seeing in the cockpit. 

Can you confirm you're using LOCKED or LEGACY interaction? Also what was your phase of flight? 
When you're stuck as such, try a direct to another waypoint in the MCDU and see what happens.
