I was heading from EGLL to EIDW and about midway to Dublin I lost airspeed, dropped into the red, and had a difficult time bringing into a proper airspeed.  I had to disconnect the AP and hand fly for a while, descend to FL200 from FL360, then tinker with AP to get it back to cruising normally again.  I was not actively engaged with the computer at the time (I was watching YouTube on my iPad).  Anyone else seen this type of behavior?

Also, is the MSFS NavData the only source of AIRAC?  EIDW did not have any RWY 28 selection for approach.

Thx, Chris

Did your autothrottle disconnect? I can assure you this is not typical behaviour and most likely a case of operator error. You'll need to provide screenshots of the situation when you notice it.

Also ensure you have all assists disabled (Options > Assistance Options > Piloting) as they can cause conflicts with the AP and its logic.

You can update the base sim navdata using Navigraph as well, however do note that EIDW has 2 operational runways now, namely 28L and 28R. What was previously runway 28 is now 28L. So that is why you probably could not see any associated procedures. You'll need to update your scenery if you want to use the latest AIRAC data (either default or navigraph)

Okay, thanks for the update.  I have the updated AIRAC from Navigraph in MSFS, I just wasn't sure if there was some way the aircraft itself retrieved this data for the FMC.  I didn't have any 28 choices, so perhaps the new AIRAC is bugged.  I am aware EIDW has a 28 left and right, I've flown there in real life, and in the sim dozens of times.

I do have all piloting assistance options off.  If it happens again, I will post a screen shot.  Nothing was disarmed or turned off, either from hardware or visually when looking at the panels.  Unless a weather change generated some strange data that threw the ADC off.

Thats probably owing to the scenery used for EIDW. If it is still using old runway designation (only 28) then thats what the sim (and thereby plane) will see. Other aircraft such as Fenix/PMDG won't be susceptible to this as they don't use the sim's navdata (default or updated via Navigraph) but instead use their own custom NavDB that doesn't look into whats actually installed in the sim.

This is a sim limitation largely and best way to fix for now is to use EIDW scenery that has 28L/R in it.

I use MK Studio V2 EIDW.  I swear I landed there a couple weeks ago in the A300 on 28L, which is typically where I land usually.
