Losing Rudder on Final Approach

Featured Replies

Strange issue I've had on my last three flights with the ini A300. Rudder works fine while rolling on takeoff, but at some point between takeoff and lining up for final approach my rudder inputs stop working.

If I look down at the pedals in the cockpit I can see them responding to my inputs but the plane does not respond as it should. When looking at the tail in external view and pushing left or right on my rudder pedals, the tail flap doesn't move left/right as it should. This makes lining up for landing and maintaining the center line after touch down virtually impossible... 😞

I use Thrustmaster TPR Pendular pedals for the rudder and I have a separate tiller axis assigned to an input on a Honeybomb Bravo.

I have tried reinstalling the plane. I've also verified that I have all assists turned off in MSFS settings and that separate rudder + tiller is configured on the EFB. I regularly fly other planes and the A300 is the only one that has this issue.

Any help / guidance would be appreciated!

Hi @DutyDollar

Hmm. Not seen that personally or reported by anyone else before.
Could you please record a short video clip of it happening, also please include screenshots of your control setup for the rudders & tiller, as well as EFB settings page?

Personally I use TF Rudder Pedals + Bravo TQ + Logitech Yoke + TCA Airbus Stick (for tiller), also configured to not link up in the EFB, without issues on the A300 so far.

Thanks!
