A320neo v.2 - pitch attitude during cruise

I am on my second flight with this beauty now and I wonder if it is normal to have a 5 degree nose pitch up attitude during cruise (currently FL380, Mach .76).

Seems to be too high, I would expect something like 2.5 degrees nose pitch up attitude.

Is this an error of the flight model or is this correct? Just wondering...

Thanks for any pointers. I pretty much enjoy flying with your 320Neo version 2!

Just as a reference, here is a screenshot from the flightdeck on an A320neo during cruise. It appears to be flying faster (Mach .78 versus Mach .76) nevertheless the difference in the pitch up angle is evident. In the real-world screenshot the pitch up attitude looks like close to 2.5 degrees nose-up attitude.

I also had the same toughts about the pitch attitude in cruise. I realised that it maybe had something to do with the speeds and went from mach .76 to .78 and the nose lowered a little, coming very close to the irl photo you sent above. I’m planning to do some flights today and will try to post the image here so we can compare.

Nothing wrong with it. I assume you’re flying a low cost index.The airplane in the picture you used for comparison is likely flying with a higher cost index

NOTE: Payload affects your CG so that can be a cause too

FordPerfect's observation is absolutely correct: that pitch is way, way off. As a real world A320 pilot 5 deg pitch in FL380 level flight would really scare me: ist would mean stall is imminent and would require immediate action. The screenshot above is from the unreliable airspeed procedure as presented in Safety First:

Pitch at FL380/M.76 should be around 2 deg or less, at that altitude that is a huge difference. I hope that A320 flight model receives some more input from real world aviation.

Hmm, I’ll have a look into it as this is quite interesting. I’m curious what other factors can affect the pitch in cruise as well.

As per your statement. The lead developer of the A20N from iniBuilds is a real A320 type rated that flies both NEO and the CEO daily so I guess they’re fine with real pilot inputs on this project
