juanchopancho Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Anyone else having issues with the 22R ILS not lined up with the runway??
Deleted Account Posted December 5, 2022 Posted December 5, 2022 Heya! With which plane is this? We tested ILSs extensively during Beta and never had any issues like that.
juanchopancho Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 PMDG 737-800. It was so misaligned I would have ended up in the cow field. I had the freeware scenery from flightsim.to but I made sure to delete it from my community folder. Not sure if it's still cached or something. Could that be it?
ROMAN78 Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 (edited) Rwy 22R has two ILS approach procedures. ILS Y(111.75) and ILSZ (111.95) which is often the most used approach preference. Hope that helps. Edited December 6, 2022 by ROMAN78

Try clearing your rolling cache and try again 🙂
juanchopancho Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 oh weird didn't know 22R was on two frequencies. Pretty sure I was using ILS Y RWY 22R 111.75
juanchopancho Posted December 6, 2022 Author Posted December 6, 2022 Ok just did a circuit. ILS Y RWY 22R 111.75 is misaligned for me even after clearing cache. Switched over to ILS Z 22R 111.95 no problem. I will just use ILS Z for this approach. First time I've seen runway use two different ILS frequencies on the same heading.🤪
Deleted Account Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 I just looked it up in the charts again and the ILS Y misalignment is by design. Notice the "Loc Crs offset 2.5°" It´s also not the same heading, its 213° for the ILS Y and 216° for the ILS Z 😄
juanchopancho Posted December 7, 2022 Author Posted December 7, 2022 That's lovely 😆 pay attention to the charts! 1 2
