I think it all goes back to the front windscreen/overhead being too tall which throws off all the dimensions. For the hud to be in the right spot relative to the pilot and the glare shield the arm would have to be stupidly long. Then again I’ve never seen the inside of an a350 cockpit other than photos and videos so I could be way off.
