that is exactly how it works here, too. select SEC1 and then import and click "make active". using it most of the times myself
-
because auto does not mean like automatic if it is on anyway always. then call it ON and off and have a clickspot somewhere. but needless to discuss any further. I typically have it off now
-
hence I suggested to make it an option to disable compression when on the ground.
-
interesting as I could swear I clicked underneath the scroll bar in a previous version and it scrolled down? like where the cursor is on the pic below....
-
anybody else unable to scroll down the STAR list (maybe any other list, just found it myself when trying to select LOGAN2H for 27L at EGLL)? Clicking on that scroll bar did not work, had to use the little scroll wheel futher down on the pedastral until LOGAN2H shown and could only then click on it? I am on latest v0.3
-
Did not check with latest v0.3 but yesterday I realized with time compression on AUTO that it also kicked in on the ground during pushback and taxi. while this may speed up lining up with the active runway I found this quite cumbersome when you are wiggling around corners and along taxiways with x4 compression. maybe it could make sense to make it an option to enable time compression NOT on the ground but only when enroute?

I use Mobiflight with the MiniFCU and an 350 profile from flightsim.to with no problems. switched to Mobiflight some months ago and don't regret it, you need to flash the MiniFCU with Mobiflight but can always return to the original MiniCockpit software.

Taxi Sound Improvement – Lack of Dynamic Variation & Nose Gear Noise
LH4371 replied to Manuel1989's topic in Sounds
agreed. just taxiied at EDDM at idle and below 40kts it is very repetitive, sounds like a little drummer boy. found this also quite annoying TBH Also, was nose gear sound turned down in the latest .3 update? This time I could hardly hear the nose gear winds when retracting the gear after takeoff -
not fully my topic, updated and cleared the WASM cache but during cockpit prep the MCDU reaction got worse, quite laggy actual. cursor not very reactive, clicking often only accepted after second click. again, it worked but became laggy. this was not from the very beginning, though. it started during cockpit prep after I loaded SB flightplan and configured the MCDU fully. enroute now all semmingly fine again, maybe just a hickup. FWIW

also, may be helpful to share which MSFS version you use, 2020 or 2024?
-
Which MSFS version do you use? I have zero issues - except some minor which may be user error - in 2024.

EDIT, must be one of these funny things. Just started a flight EKCH to EGLL and I DO hear ATC - though still no megaphone shown on the radio stack?!
-
All, yes I read the manual but it only says to push the Call button and pull that knob, yet I do not see that megaphone icon and can only hear myself transmitting to ATC. I can READ what ATC responds to me but cannot hear. How do I get that megaphone icon? Pushed knob: x correctly shown Pulled knob: zero nade niente what am I missing?

what if you don't use the physical keyboard then until they fixed it? did 3 flight and no problems, not hitting any video button and not using the physical keyboard
-
So was wondering too why I see no mal at all. Just my plane. So this only works exclusively with Navigraph. And no bing / openstreet map at least?
-
read somewhere you should also (first?) import the fp in the EFB. No idea whether that does the trick. just made a longer flight EGLL-KBOS without any problems... oh, just to rule that out. did you use the "official" simbrief profile for the 350? and also set the units to be the same, both EFB and simbrief must be either LBS or KG, mismatch did not let me load a fp earlier (in the EFB) though it gave me an error message in the EFB
-
I just finished a long haul from EGLL to KBOS with no issues at all. Did not touch the physical keyboard, again no idea whether that helps. Also, no full freezes here, just MCDU. And in 2024
-
ok, sorry to hear. on my end only the MCDU freezes. having not touched my physcial keyboard I was just able to do a flight EDDM-EGLL, all fine but will check whether this was conincidence or not
-
those who see freezes, is it the MCDU only what freezes? if yes did you use for whatever reason your physical keyboard for data entry? could be conincidence but I just only used the keyboard on the pedestal and could enter what I needed to enter without a freeze - so far. currently enroute into EGLL...
-
same. GND at EDDM. all fine until I tried to manually add takeoff speeds via keyboard. then the MCDU was stuck, everything else worked fine though. no navigraph here, just LIDO and simbrief. could seemingly un-stuck the mcdu by toggling it off/on once but then it hung up again and could not be re-activated
-
should be there if engines are off. did you link your simbrief ID in the EFB? and have a valid flightplan filed?
-
So that did not work when I just tried. I mean, yes I can import the fp manually that way. but not do an import from simbrief... will try again and yes, OFP was loaded into EFB. besides, when entering data using my keyboard, the MCDU hang up and could not be restored, but that seems to be one of the WASM crashes reported elsewhere
-
What do you mean exactly? So you filed a simbrief fp say kbos-kord and then did what in the mcdu? Added kbos/kord in to/from and it loaded the complete fp? Need to try that then. Seldom have time to start cold and dark and thus need to import the fp with engines running, being real or not. For me a qol topic…
