  1. Got it worked out - turns out I already had the latest version of the app, but in all the confusion of setting up MSFS 2024, I forgot I had to insert the new community folder pathway. Correct version is now installed and I was able to take it on a short local flight. Flight model seems a lot more refined and sold, with more mass and inertia, and the airplane handles better - more stable throughout, especially in pitch except at approach speeds, and doesn't need nearly as much trimming. Now time to figure out the MSFS 2024 settings and see if I can cure the stutterfest... long way to go, but the T-33 helps. Thanks for getting me pointed in the right direction...!
  2. Thanks, @richboy2307! I didn’t see those path dialogues, so clearly my mistake was not updating the app. Will take care of that tomorrow afternoon and report back. Appreciate the guidance!
  3. Thanks, thought I had done that. But where does it install? It didn’t show up in the aircraft list until I hand-copied the folder from MSFS 2020 into the MSFS 2024 Community folder. It’s entirely possible I grabbed the wrong one. If I’m installing directly to 2024 via the app, where in the file structure does the aircraft wind up?
  4. Just tried the T-33 for the first time in MSFS 2024 and you can add me to the list of people experiencing engine issues. Engine reaches 75% RPM, then throttles back no matter how slowly I advance the throttles. It feels like a hard-coded limit. I'm wondering if I have the right version installed. Is there a way in the files to determine the version number? FYI that I bought directly from iniBuilds and I download through the app - so Marketplace issues shouldn't be a factor. Thanks in advance for your help.

    no tip tanks

Wow! Who knew? Well, you did, clearly...! I wonder if they've somehow added more fuselage fuel storage - or if they just limit it to 45-minute flights. Looks good, though.
  6. Agree! Really grateful for the EFB tuning hack as it stands. Thanks for listening! But it'd help even more if they included ILS frequences and were sorted or at least clearly labeled.

A clean version would be a P-80. Different airplane. All T-33s have tip tanks. The fuselage tank was reduced to make room for the second seat, so without the tip tanks there wouldn’t be nearly enough fuel. It’s how they came from the showroom.
  8. @Tim-HH and @richboy2307 - I think it would help a lot to know which engine is being modeled. If Greg Collyer's aircraft is the basis for the performance numbers (as it should be - it's the one that iniBuilds researched) - then the engine in the sim aircraft isn't an Allison J-33, it's a Rolls Royce Nene Mk. 10. Like many (most?) of the T-33s currently flying, Ace Maker is a Canadair license-built T-133 with a Rolls Royce engine. John Terrell (aka Bomber12th, aka JohnnyT5000) pointed out in the MSFS forums that the start-up procedures and the performance seem correct for an RR Nene. At 2:55 in this video, Ken Pacholski, at the time the owner of N133KK, describes the RR Nene in his aircraft as "more powerful, much more powerful" than the original Allison. If all that is in fact the case, it'd be good if iniBuilds could specify the engine in the documentation. @Dudley Henriques - I've been using that procedure in the T-33 (and in other early jets like the F-86 and the Fouga Magister) and it works well. I think I must have learned if from you along the way. Thanks!
  9. @richboy2307 - Glad to know you're looking at these and other fixes - I'm enjoying the T-33 but hoping you can sand off some of the rough spots I'm not sure if this is the right place to post a request - am still trying to figure out how to navigate your forums - but would you consider a quality-of-life fix for tuning the nav radios in the classic cockpit? The three-part dial at the bottom of the center pedestal is period-correct but pretty much impossible to tune while in flight - in its current form it effectively rules out VOR-VOR navigation. Maybe a tuning option on the EFB so we can keep our eyes on the road, so to speak? Thanks for considering. And please feel free to move this if it's in the wrong place.
