FordPerfect's observation is absolutely correct: that pitch is way, way off. As a real world A320 pilot 5 deg pitch in FL380 level flight would really scare me: ist would mean stall is imminent and would require immediate action. The screenshot above is from the unreliable airspeed procedure as presented in Safety First:
    https://safetyfirst.airbus.com/app/themes/mh_newsdesk/documents/archives/unreliable-speed.pdf

Pitch at FL380/M.76 should be around 2 deg or less, at that altitude that is a huge difference. I hope that A320 flight model receives some more input from real world aviation.

Hmm, I’ll have a look into it as this is quite interesting. I’m curious what other factors can affect the pitch in cruise as well.

As per your statement. The lead developer of the A20N from iniBuilds is a real A320 type rated that flies both NEO and the CEO daily so I guess they’re fine with real pilot inputs on this project

  2. Nothing wrong with it. I assume you’re flying a low cost index. The airplane in the picture you used for comparison is likely flying with a higher cost index

NOTE: Payload affects your CG so that can be a cause too

  3. So far the aircraft performs well but there are some minor adjustments that could be done.

ND - Shows all the airports within the range selected. It shouldn’t show the airfields with short runways. It’s just a clutter of airports

VORs are displayed in blue but they should show up in magenta

NavAids - When intercepting a speed constraint the aircraft behaves well but soon as it decelerates to the speed restriction it accelerates back to the previous speed and after a few seconds goes back to the constraint speed

When selecting any STARs at EGPF there seems to be a problem with the final approach fixes. CF23 and SF23 as well for the opposite runway 05 seem to be like 3000NM away from the airfield. I’m not sure if this is an A320 related issue or airport issue but it doesn’t happen in the PMDG 737 nor the Fenix

The aircraft can’t perform VOR approaches. It will just fly past the intercept point even though the VOR approach is selected in the MCDU and the identifier is correctly set up in the RAD/NAV page

  4. Nope, I can’t even input the flight ID into the CPDLC.

But I’m guessing it’s pointless to use it on the Xbox anyway as hoppie was made for VATSIM use. I’ve read on the hoppie website that you can still use the CPDLC offline to get ATIS info but since there’s no real ATC on the Xbox is kinda useless to have it on the A300.

Anyway, I am using PC as well and there it works perfectly. Just keeping my Xbox for when I’m going away as it prevents me from getting bored😂

  5. Hi, just a quick question

I can see in this update that CPDLC is available for the Xbox version too.

    Is it working?

I’ve created a hoppie account and put the logon code in the EFB but I can’t get it to work…

    Many thanks,

    Andrei

  6. The reason for this is crosswind which is accurately simulated in MSFS. I guarantee, every plane does this in the sim and real life. The stronger the wind, the harder the veer. It’s quite simple to maintain the centerline by using the rudder. Or you can activate takeoff assistance in the assistance options inside MSFS and this will get you rid of that veering

Didn’t get a singel ctd? Yeah for those who use some sort of nasa computer sure but for xbox I do not believe it. I have never ever experienced so many ctd’s EVER!

Not a single one😘If it’s hard to believe listen to this as well. Not a single CTD on any third party airport either. And other news, better performance than what I get on the default 787 and 747 after the avionics update. So have a sit for while you wait for me to care if you believe it or not

good that it works for you but what makes you think your sample size is representative? people had problems and the targeted stability was well under 90% which does not get it the certification it needs to release to public. From my understanding the aircraft will NOT be available in SU14 and instead will be delayed for weeks/months.

I can guarantee that most of the beta testers didn’t get a single CTD on Xbox like MS claims. Go find yourself on the MSFS official forum

They’ve had a newer version of the A320 ready to release for the yesterday beta update patch as the initial version was a few builds behind. So, instead of releasing the new patch for the A320 and see how it works, they decide to remove it from the beta before the testing period is even over. The release date for SU14 is gonna be on the 5th of December as we are all aware.

I never had any issues with it on series X. Ran smoothly and flew like a dream. Bit laggy coming in to detailed airports but other than that it was fine.

Just came off the beta and what’s the first thing that happened to me when trying to fly something else? CTD!

Same here, like I’ve mentioned above. Came off the beta , done a flight with the PMDG 737 and I get black gauges and CTD after at EIDW, airport I would never get any CTD in the a320 ( Xbox X series).

This whole “we’ll release it in a few months after we fix some optimisation issues” is total b*******. Now I actually believe FBW are being right about those allegations and I guess we’ll have to wait those few months until they’ll redo the aircraft. Again, Microsoft are outrageous by promising something and not delivering it

  10. Just came across a beta update today and the A320 was missing. Went to check MSFS forum and they said the A320 had too many CTDs on xbox and it will be released in a few months because it needs some more work?????? Now, I am using PC and Xbox X and I’ve never had a CTD with this airplane, in fact I was getting better FPS than the PMDG to be fair.

What got to me though, is that there are some discussions across forums stating that iniBuilds copied a big part of the FBW code and added it to this A320 Neo, fact that I don’t want to believe and I hope we’ll see this bird in our sims soon
