Throttle Calibration Calibrating your throttle correctly is key to achieving smooth control in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, especially when flying advanced aircraft like the Airbus. The calibration process is managed entirely within the Aircraft Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), and here we provide a step-by-step guide for setting up your throttle axis. General Calibration Steps: Reverse on Axis: If your throttle hardware does not have a reverse axis, make sure to select NO in the "Reverse on Axis" option on the EFB. If your hardware has a reverse axis, select YES to calibrate the reverse detents. Green Bar: This bar represents the current position of …

The A400M utilises a combination of the Radio Management Panel (RMP), MFD NAVAIDS page and TCAS Control Panel in order to manage VHF Communications (COMM), Navigation Radios (NAV) and Transponder (XPDR/IFF) respectively. COMM Frequencies Management (RMP & ACP) The RMP is located on the glareshield on both the CAPT/FO sides. It is primarily used to control COMM frequencies and set XPDR code. To dial a frequency, use the keyboard to (5) to type the desired frequency (e.g 122.800 can be entered as 122800) into the scratchpad (6). Entry into STBY field: The typed frequency can be entered to STBY COM1 (V/U1) field by clicking LSK U2 …

The Flight Management Guidance and Envelope System (FMGES) provides predictions of flight time, mileage, speed, economy profiles, and altitude. It reduces cockpit workload, improves efficiency, and eliminates many routine operations generally performed by the flight crew. The pilots use the two MFDs to enter or modify data required by the FMGES via the KCCUs. Keyboard Cursor and Control Unit (KCCU) The KCCU is used to enter and modify data via the keyboard and various buttons (1 to 5). MFD pages can be accessed directly as well by pressing any of the MFD shortcut keys (6 to 13). 1. Keyboard 2. Backspace …

This is normally done using the tiller located on the side console. The tiller can be controlled via the 'NOSE WHEEL STEERING AXIS' binding. For simulation purposes, this can also be linked to the rudder pedals for easier use. To do this, go to the aircraft EFB 'Options' tab, then select 'YES' for the 'REALISTIC NOSE WHEEL STEERING' option. Additionally, for sharper turns, enable the U-TURN button on the center pedestal to increase the nosewheel steering limit to 90 degrees.

The Audio Control Panel(ACP), located next to the PFD, is used to control communications. V/U 1 is used for com1, and V/U 2 for com2. To speak with the ATC, you need to select (press in) the appropriate transmission key (1). When pressed, the associated channel is selected for transmission and green lines display. The pilot can deselect the channel by pressing the push button again, or by selecting another channel. To hear the ATC, you need to select (pull-out) the appropriate reception knob (2) and tune it's volume (rotate). You will see it lit up (Green) when enabled.
