I have spent hours trying to load a Simbrief generated flight plan into the FMS on the A380 without success. I have the A350 and done the same without any problems. Using AI has not helped at all, but only confirmed what I suspected that there is a problem in the system.

Thanks, but I have tried everything that i can think of and more. Fir comparison, I've just gone back to the A350 and tried loading the same route and it worked fine so there's something not quite right .

Sorry for the delay - the answer is yes. And I have tried lots of different permutations also. As I said earlier, although not an expert i have had lots of experience abd also flown the inibuilds A350 without much hassle.
