Flight behaviour too sluggish

Featured Replies

due to the FBW and the large control surfaces, the A380 is generally regarded by pilots as very responsive and ‘light on the controls’. However, I found that it was rather sluggish in its response. I have got the WINCTRL Sidestick.

Hi,

Are you using any sensitivity curves on your joystick?

Having flown the aircraft with the Thrustmaster TCA, I have not noticed any "sluggish" behaviour.

Thanks!

maybe I have the wrong settings? can you recommend some?

  1. Go to Settings, then open Controls.

  2. Select Your Device: Click the tile or name of your specific joystick, yoke, or rudder pedals on the screen. Do not select the keyboard or mouse.

  3. Open Sensitivity: Look for the Sensitivity or Axis Tuning button/panel for that specific controller.

Let me know if you have any curves set, or if it is linear.

Thanks!

in my settings its linear with a little deadzone.

Ok, thanks.

I actually had to add a curve as I found it to be too sensitive at linear.

You can always make adjustments and fine tune your experience using those curves.

Thanks again!
