It seems like something has changed since I flew the A300-600R months ago.

I start the APU, turn on APU bleed, turn OFF ext. power, and start the engines and wait for stabilization on both. I turn the Ignition knob to OFF.

I turn OFF APU bleed, So far, so good.

But when I put the APU Master Switch to OFF, I lose all power in the aircraft.

It seems like the engines are not generating power, or the electrical system is messed up.

I've used this same process in the past without any problems.

Any ideas what is wrong?

Hi, the only thing remotely similar that happened to me once was that I suddenly had no fuel in the tanks but the APU somehow ran and I could start the engines which then shutdown shortly after, which would result in a total power loss once the APU is turned off. But I think that was rather some GSX or simulator glitch than the airplane addon itself.

But I would assume you had fuel and GEN 1 and GEN 2 were not turned off. It would be interesting to know which version (software version and passenger/freighter/engines) of the A300 you used and if you could see anything on the AC/DC monitor pages.

Hi Paul,

I just loaded into the A300 and completed a flight without any issues. Could you try performing a fresh installation of the aircraft and see if that resolves the problem?

My stupid. I wasn't setting the ENG START to A, I was setting it to CRANK.

Not sure why that makes a difference, but it does, and now all is working.
