September 5Sep 5 Hi folks!, i´m wondering why i can´t see on the ECAM memo panel before t/o the "SPLR ARM" memo?,is this only a feature for the 32x family?,and the second one,why on earth i can´t activate the brake fan push button on the panel, trying to push it 1000 times and the button seems to be visually manipulated but it goes again out and the light "on" doesnt illuminates never. Thanks a lot for any light on this.Alex.
September 6Sep 6 Hi, the A300 ECAM is not the same as the ones on more modern Airbus aircraft. During taxi you should validate the takeoff configuration with the takeoff config push button - it is on the center console in the lower right beneath the thrust levers. Press it until you see the status message NORM FOR T.O. on the left display unit. It might also display an unexpected state, for example if the parking brake is set or oil temperatures aren't high enough yet. You can find checklists for the aircraft in the EFB, the correct takeoff config is checked by running the after start and before takeoff checklists. Regarding the brake fan - maybe there is a controller or key assignment which resets the button, so you might want to check in the settings that there is no hardware binding. Otherwise, I have no idea. :)
