A350 never follows nav and stays in persistent turn

Featured Replies

I've flown the A350 previously when it came out. On a new PC and fresh install of everything. Configure flight plan and everything looks good. Take off from airport and turn on autopilot and the plane turns like it's trying to capture the NAV line and just keeps turning in a persistent circle. Decided to try to wake it up by forcing a direct-to for my destination and the nav updates with a turn and line direct to the destination. A350 follows the line for the turn and then again...just keeps turning. Plane is in managed NAV mode and I can see the proper destination/waypoint in the upper left of ND. I think I'm pretty good at flying Airbuses in the sim and this one has me scratching my head. Screenshot hopefully captures full config of the airplane.

Hi,

Could you please confirm that both the simulator and the aircraft are using the same NAVDATA cycle?

I haven’t seen or heard of anyone else experiencing this particular issue, so I’m just trying to narrow down some possible causes.

Thanks!

Thanks for the quick replies. I do have both MSFS and the A350 using Navigraph for now.

Okay, I’ll test this first thing tomorrow morning and try to reproduce the issue on my end.

In the meantime, could you please provide your departure and arrival airports, along with the routing you were using?

Thanks so much!
