KORD performance on Xbox

Bravoairspace ATG, only static no traffic, low density medium variety

Hi,

I just bought KORD on Xbox Series X and while I’m aware that KORD is obviously one of the largest and most complex airports in the world, the performance is horrid. Loaded at gate C10W in the Inibuilds A340. In the few frames the Xbox did render, textures constantly went blurry and it didn’t take long for the Xbox to run out of memory completely.

Also the multi-jetways don’t move at all, neither of them, and there is no Ini Jetway app in the EFB. It’s understandable that that feature is not ready for -or will never be available at all on- Xbox. However, it IS advertised in the Marketplace on Xbox.

Some jetways do connect with traffic, not all of them, but none seem particularly interested in me. Also I saw gate C10 connect to door R1 on an ai A330.

The second test on the A350 went somewhat better, but still unplayably unstable in terms of completely blurred out textures, frame drops and running out of memory constantly looming.

You guys have an impressive record of optimalisation (it took some trial and error but the A350 is now one of the most FPS friendly airliners in the sim right now, please give us more liveries:)) so I’m confident KORD will be a very regular destination in the near future, but for now it’s unfortunately unplayable.

Hi,

Sorry to hear about your performance issues at KORD. Can you confirm the default handcrafted KORD is uninstalled?

Currently, the multi-jetway tool is not compatible on X-Box, but we are actively looking to bring it over.

I've noted your issues with the jetbridge behavior.

Thanks!

I’ll try disabling the handcrafted airport after my flight, I didn’t realize that does not go automatically.

with regards to the multi-jetways: it’s really quite misleading isn’t it, explicitly advertising it on Xbox, only to find out it’s really only on the roadmap for that platform?

Yes, you must manually disable any handcrafted airport if using 3rd party.

As for for the multi-jetway, I'll have the team look at the Xbox store page. I do not have an xbox personally, so I cannot verify. Does it specifically imply that multi-jetways work with xbox? Or is it on the features list?

Thanks!

Disabling the default KORD did indeed fix the performance issue, thank you very much.

And yes, the advertisement states very explicitly: ‘This scenery features highly detailed terminals, accurately recreated taxiways and runway layouts, realistic signage, bespoke ground service equipment, an extensively modelled airport environment, and introduces iniBuilds Multi-Jetway Technology, allowing compatible aircraft to connect to multiple passenger boarding bridges simultaneously for an even more authentic turnaround experience.’ whether or not it is specified in that text whether this applies to Xbox, really doesn’t matter if this is what you see when buying the product on Xbox. As a result, I bought this airport specifically for those jetways.

Great news you were able to fix the performance issues!
I'll pass along the info to the sales team about the advertisement on Xbox.

Appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

Thanks!
