worinimaa Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Hello iniBuilds team and community, I encountered a fuel-related issue during a long-haul flight from LFPG to TNCM in the A330-200. Flight details: Aircraft: iniBuilds A330-200 Fuel loaded at departure: 59,000 kg (planned with SimBrief using the iniBuilds A330-200 profile) Flight time: approximately 8.5 hours When I returned to the cockpit the next morning, I was about 150 NM from TNCM with 4,300 kg remaining and a βLanding ASAPβ warning already displayed. At around 25 NM from TNCM, the fuel quantity showed 2,400 kg remaining, but both engines suddenly flamed out (fuel starvation). I then used the EFB to add fuel (set to 8,000 kg), after which the engines restarted successfully without any other issues. This behavior strongly suggests that the remaining fuel (likely in the rear/trim tank) was not being transferred or made available to the collector cells / engines, even though the MCDU/Fuel page and FQI still displayed it. I have seen very similar reports from other users: One A330-300 flight from OTHH-LIMC where the aircraft ran out of fuel on approach with exactly 2,400 kg still shown in the rear tank, and manual transfer had no effect. Multiple mentions of trim/tail tank fuel not transferring properly on the A330-200 (pumps/FWD valve not working as expected). My flight was a standard long-haul with no unusual weather or time acceleration abuse. The SimBrief plan and initial MCDU predictions looked normal, and 59 tons should have provided a comfortable margin for this ~8.5-hour sector. Questions / Request: Is this a known issue with the trim tank fuel transfer logic on the A330-200? Has any recent update addressed rear tank fuel flow/transfer problems? Any recommended workaround for long-haul flights until a fix is released (e.g. extra tanker fuel, avoiding certain fuel loading amounts)?
