Performance loss while Landing

Featured Replies

Hi Ini team,

I have been flying the A350 on a long haul route HKG-SFO ( Inibuilfs VHHH & Flightbeam KSFO) and I have found a weird issue of the FPS dropping to like 10-20fps on final approach. I dug around and found that the “Fauna” option off seems to making a bit better( I realise this is an MSFS option) giving around 15-20 fps on touchdown but the aircraft in general becomes a stuttery mess. General performance on the flight has been quite good with consistently 60+ fps but during final approach ( below 200 feet) it seems to all disappear. Interestingly, on the couple of flights I have done, I noticed that switching to the external view seems to be fine and the performance remains at around 60fps. The moment I switch to the cockpit view for approach the FPS drops by around 15/20 frames and stutters a lot without any recovery until I have fully stopped the aircraft at the gate. This seems like a weird issue with the cockpit view causing this ? Let me know if you need any more info from me 🙂

Just a quick follow up, I completed a short flight from NRT to HKG and I increased the rolling cache to around 128GB. It seem to improve a little bit inside the cockpit but a noticeble drop in FPS was still present with a fair bit of stutters. However, once I landed, I turned off the flight director, and the "LS" button. This helped me recover some more frames. Finally, once I turned off the engines, I was able to recover some more frames but never got back upto the level of frames in cruise or in the beginning of the flight (60fps quite easily)

Ha!

I have the very same issue (just have not tried what @aadi_sim did after landing).

Long haul - KJFL-OTHH (both Ini), A350-1000, between TOC and TOD 4x sim rate. After un-pausing at TOD significant FPS loss, normally, even on JFK I have about 50-60fps on High settings. in the approach all the way tp the gate 15-20 FPS 😞

Specs:

Ryzen 7 7800X3D

RX 7800XT

32GB RAM

Edit:

I have found that topic, so to be clear - I got A350 this weekend on sale. It was my 3rd flight, others were DXB-DMM and the some circuits around SEA.

BTW - the fact that the below topic had been closed without any comment/answer is does not send optimistic message to be honest.
