ini a320v2 with WinWing Ursa Minor Throttle issue

Featured Replies

Hey, not sure if this has been brought up, I know most people flying a320's are using Fenix, or FBW for the NEO, but I'm kind of mentally challenged about addons in that I like flying the same brand when possible because of similar setups/efb, so I fly the inibuilds a330 and a320/1 pretty often.

Today I decided to load up the a320 and noticed an issue I haven't had with the a321 or the a330;

When trying to calibrate the throttle (WinWing SimApp has it set to Single Stroke Double Shaft) which works without issue on the other MSFS24 inibuild planes, the a320neo V2 keeps recognizing the Throttle and the Reverser as two different axis, so when I engage the reverser to calibrate it the throttle jumps back up to half stroke and binds the reverser max where TOGA is bound and IDLE REV is in the middle of the axis, where as IDLE binds down at the very bottom of the stroke where MAX REV is on the hardware.

Is this a known issue/any fixes?

I had a similar issue, and in my case it seemed to be caused by having too many different “game gear calibrations” in SimApp Pro (the ones at the bottom, not the top menus). I ended up deleting all of them and saving one clean, single-stroke calibration—and since then it’s been working seamlessly across all my Airbuses.

I’d definitely recommend using the manual mapping chart provided by Fenix, as those mappings should work consistently across all Airbuses. That said, it does take a bit of fiddling to find what works best for you. Some YouTubers suggest deleting all the game gear calibrations entirely, but that didn’t work for me personally.

Also, when I tried the Winwing calibration file, a few important switches—like the engine switches—were mapped incorrectly, so I had to adjust those manually. In the end, it’s a bit of trial and error, but I’m sure you’ll get there.

And by the way, I totally get your inclination towards flying the default ini Airbuses. For me, they just offer the smoothest performance, especially when using heavy payware sceneries—no stutters or performance issues. Sure, the systems depth is a bit limited, but they look fantastic and honestly get the job done really well.
