February 20Feb 20 I don't see much discussion of this topic online, so I would like to bring it up. Recently, I decided to try out other airliners other than the 737 Max, and I decided to reach for the A32n. Soon I noticed a significant bug in both A32n v2 and A330 autopilot: the LNAV (I am more of a Boeing fan) of the autopilot is not functioning properly. When an aircraft is slightly deviated from the designated course, it usually roll gradually to re-align and smooth out the roll when approaching the desired course. However, things work out totally differently for these two aircraft: they seem to continuously roll as long as they are not aligned with the course, sometimes even reaching 90° when they are finally intercepted the course, only to over-correct and repeat the process forever. It often ends up having a sinusoidal flight path rather than a straight one, making them barely flyable. From the attached image, notice that autopilot has been engaged, and is manoeuvring back to course with a whopping 90° in respect to the desired course.
