Hello,

I hope you are doing well.

Since Update 4 of Microsoft Flight Simulator, I had not touched the Airbus A350 until recently. After several updates, I honestly started wondering whether this aircraft has actually been improved at all.

Unfortunately, after testing it again, the situation is still unacceptable. Basic interactions are still broken: buttons that should work with a single click require two clicks to respond, which completely breaks immersion and usability. The SimBrief integration is still not working properly — it is impossible to correctly import payload and weight through the tablet.

Worse than that, the aircraft feels even more unstable than before. Performance on Xbox is extremely poor: frequent freezes, major stutters, and serious FPS drops. The screens randomly turn off, clearly to “save performance”, but this only highlights how badly optimized this aircraft is. It consumes too many resources and remains completely unreliable.

There have been no major improvements, no meaningful fixes, and no visible progress. In its current state, this aircraft is simply broken. I deeply regret purchasing it. Right now, it is nothing more than a disaster sitting in my hangar.

I strongly advise Xbox users not to buy this aircraft. Selling a product in this condition is not acceptable. An emergency update is absolutely necessary, because having an aircraft released like this is simply not normal.

This situation is extremely disappointing.

Hi. While we understand the frustration, much of what you're taking issue with has nothing to do with the aircraft and more a byproduct of the platform.
(We don't turn off screens or hamper basic functionality with any xbox-specific performance culling)
Unfortunately, we can't prioritize how the console prioritizes memory handling so sometimes what gets removed in one flight won't be the case on the next.

Knowing that I can assure the Xbox builds have received the same updates and refinements as with their PC counterparts (as much as possible) We test each build as much as possible but it's inevitable things may sneak through.

Can you share specific examples of switches that are requiring more than one input so we can take a look?
Thanks.

Hello,

thank you very much for taking the time to reply so quickly.

The issue I am experiencing is the following: before Sim Update 3 of the main simulator, everything was working normally. When I clicked once on the FMC to enter the flight plan and flight data, the input was detected correctly.

Since that update, I now have to click twice very quickly for the action to be recognized. If I don’t double-click fast enough, the input is not detected at all.

Additionally, since Sim Update 3 (and even after several simulator and aircraft updates), it is no longer possible to import the weight directly from SimBrief using the A350’s interface. The weight seems to be stuck, and we now have to enter it manually. Previously, a single button press would automatically load all the weight information, including passengers and payload.

This situation is quite frustrating, especially during approach phases, as having to double-click quickly adds unnecessary stress. Unfortunately, this has really discouraged me from flying this aircraft, even though I truly enjoy it otherwise.

Thank you for your understanding, and I hope this feedback can help.

I’m in Xbox x - I had put off buying this for some time - but having flown it over the last week, I’m pleasantly surprised. Most of the systems seem to be functioning well with little obvious impact on performance. A good job.

Hello,

I would like to report a major performance and stability issue with the Airbus A350 on Xbox, which currently makes the aircraft almost unusable.

I want to be very clear from the start: this does not appear to be an issue with Microsoft Flight Simulator itself, but rather with the optimization of the A350.

For comparison, I regularly fly the Boeing 787 Dreamliner (Asobo/Bravo), which also features complex systems and large glass cockpit displays. Under the exact same conditions (same simulator, same scenery, same streaming world data), the 787 works perfectly fine, with no freezes or system shutdowns.

With the A350, however, the problem is very consistent: As soon as the simulator has to load cities, urban areas, houses, or mountainous terrain, the aircraft suddenly reaches a massive performance and memory spike. When this happens:

all cockpit screens freeze or turn black,

aircraft systems stop responding,

the aircraft becomes frozen in mid-air,

the flight is no longer controllable or recoverable.

Once this occurs, the flight is effectively over. I cannot continue the approach, and I cannot land. To date, I have not been able to complete a single full flight and landing with the A350 on Xbox due to this issue.

This behavior does not occur with the 787 Dreamliner, which strongly suggests that the problem is not related to world streaming or the simulator engine, but to the A350’s memory and performance management on Xbox. If this were a general RAM limitation, similar issues would affect other large aircraft, which is not the case.

In its current state, the A350 feels like an aircraft that is still in development and not properly optimized for Xbox, and therefore should not have been released on this platform without further work. The memory usage and performance spikes are simply too aggressive.

This situation is especially problematic during live streams, where viewers can clearly see the aircraft freeze with all screens off, which is extremely disappointing for a paid add-on.

I truly hope a dedicated Xbox-focused update can be delivered to address these performance and stability issues, because at the moment, the aircraft is unfortunately not reliable enough to be flown.

Thank you for your time and for taking this feedback seriously.
