kanishk Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Hello iniBuilds Team and Community, I am writing to express significant disappointment regarding the performance of the iniBuilds A350 and A340 airliners on the Xbox Series X platform in Microsoft Flight Simulator. The Core Issue: The aircraft are virtually unusable during critical phases of flight—specifically during taxi, takeoff, and landing. At these moments, the sim experiences massive stutters and freezes (sometimes 1-2 second pauses) which completely ruins the immersion and playability, especially at major add-on or default airports. Given that takeoff and landing are the most engaging parts of simming, this makes the products feel incomplete. The Performance Discrepancy: What makes this issue particularly frustrating is the comparison to other complex, "study-level" add-ons. Products from developers like PMDG (e.g., the 737 and 777) run consistently well on the same Xbox Series X hardware, maintaining smooth frame rates and stable performance even at demanding airports and during finals. This begs the question: Why is there such a massive performance gap between the two developers? Is this a fundamental difference in optimization techniques (such as how the underlying code is compiled—C++ vs. JavaScript to WASM) that severely impacts console performance? I would appreciate a clear, technical explanation as to why iniBuilds products, which are otherwise highly detailed, seem to be such heavy resource hogs, particularly on the ground. Refund Inquiry: As the poor performance makes these airliners effectively useless for their intended purpose (long-haul operations into realistic airport environments), I must inquire about a refund. Since this was purchased through the MSFS Marketplace on Xbox, what is the recommended procedure? Should I contact iniBuilds support directly, or must all refund requests for technically unusable products be routed through Microsoft/Xbox support? If an immediate fix is not feasible, I would like to initiate the refund process, as I cannot justify keeping products that perform so poorly during core flight operations while competitor products run flawlessly. Thank you for your attention to this serious matter. A frustrated Xbox Simmer.
