IniSteve Posted Monday at 08:12 PM Posted Monday at 08:12 PM The iniBuilds A340 Airliner allows for in-sim CPDLC connections for use with online networks such as Vatsim/IVAO as well as popular 3rd-party ATC programs via a connection to the HOPPIE network. Setup - Connect to Hoppie Network The requests are processed through the Hoppie Network so require you to setup your Hoppie Logon Code on the EFB 3rd Party settings page. If you are a new user, you can register for a free Hoppie Logon code here: https://www.hoppie.nl/acars/system/register.html Once you have your code, you can enter this manually via the On-Screen Keyboard OR by pasting it into the field by clicking on the text field and then pressing Cntrl+V key on your keyboard. (Click to enlarge image) Setup - Preferred CPDLC Source Select your preferred CPDLC Source via the EFB 3rd Party Settings page. You may choose between HOPPIE , SAYINTENTIONS or BEYONDATC accordingly. (Click to enlarge image) Operation - Requesting CPDLC Once configured, you can follow yhe standard steps to request CPDLC functionality via the FMS ATC MENU page. In the below example, we will walk through request a Pre-Departure Clearance using Beyond ATC (BATC). To Request CPDLC, Ensure the FMS INIT A page FROM/TO and FLT NBR fields are filled in. Access the ATC MENU page on the FMS via ATC COMM > ATC MENU > -> (Next Page) > DEPART REQ Now you can enter your departure information. Once the data is complete, transfer the info to your DCDU via RS6 (REQ DISPL) and confirm it's correct Select "SEND" then wait for the confirmation prompt. You can then confirm the message has been received via the BATC comm menu Note: The process for Say Intentions and RealACARS is similar but please refer to their respective documentation for exact steps regarding setup.
