Where is the wind info coming from?

Featured Replies

Requested the winds from Simbrief for my flight plan, and this is what it gave me. They don't match up at all with what's in the flight plan. Note I was using historical weather for this flight.

Since the flight levels at the left and at the right are not exactly identical, I would say these two tables are pretty similar. Also MSFS 2024 uses very accurate historical weather data, whereas simbrief has a lack of accuracy regarding historical weather data.

Doesn't really answer my question - if the plane is importing wind data from the Simbrief flight plan then something is wrong. If it's coming from MSFS, then sure, yes, maybe it's right.

Would be nice for iniBuilds to clarify.
