SWGS201 Posted Tuesday at 07:17 PM Posted Tuesday at 07:17 PM During ILS approach the auto pilot starts "hunting" the ILS as the aircraft descends, it get much worse below 1500ft and will often result in a glideslope deviation. Upon switching to autoland it still continues to hunt, then the aircraft flares way to high above the runway causing the landing to go long, manual intervention is usually required to complete the touchdown and roll out. 1
