FS2024 Reduced Resolution Textures

In the iniManager there is an option: FS2024 reduced resolution textures.

1) I wonder if the textures are for the external model and/or the virtual cockpit?

2) If I install those textures, I will get a new option in the iniManager to revert to HD textures?

Looks like nobody uses the reduced textures.

Hi Simicro,

1) I believe it is for both, I did notice an improvement to the overall smoothness after installing the reduced textures

2) Yes you can easily revert back to HD via the iniManager

3) You need to have patience on this forum, it can take a while to get a response (as in +1 day)

Sorry I missed your reply, and many thanks for your answer. Understood, I'll try. I don't care much of the external textures but I want the highest definition possible for the cockpit. And yes I noticed for the patience for official support...

I don't notice any major loss of quality and sharpness with the reduced textures, either for the external model or the cockpit. However I still get the "... resources usage exceeds GPU memory...". I have a 4070 Ti Super and don't have that message with other well known study airliners. Additionally with the 350 I get a 100% GPU usage whilst only 50% with those other airliners.

I use them, see no difference in the VC on my 4K screen. Also see no relevant gain in VRAM, so I could basically again switch to the regular resolution, but then, if I dont see any difference, why care. The performance of this bird is anyway abysimal compared to other addon planes, so...
