Batteries continuing to 'age' even though aircraft is paused?

I cleared out my WASM folder after installing the new version of the aircraft, and my first flight was KBOS to OTHH (12hr give or take in the air) but after landing I see in the maintenance menu that the batteries are all at 77%. Is this expected or is the ~10-11hr the aircraft was in "Pause at TOD" still counting time against maintenance items? I wouldn't expect the batteries to age quite this quick?
