ShogunAssassin Posted May 11 Posted May 11 Hi Inibuilds! There seems to be a loading issue with the cockpit when you switch from external view mode after a few hours of flight. The video attached is me almost 7 hours in for a flight and after hanging around atleast 10-15 seconds in external view mode, when you switch to cockpit view the flashing happens and after a few seconds, the cockpit loads. Had to cut the video due to file size constraints. clip.mov clip.mov
dobova Posted Tuesday at 06:40 AM Posted Tuesday at 06:40 AM (edited) I’ve the same issue in fs2024 beta since ver 1.5.3 and since A350 1.0.10 Edited Tuesday at 06:42 AM by dobova
LH4371 Posted Wednesday at 09:47 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:47 PM (edited) Same with latest su3b but only happens since definitely the 1.0.11 update (did not see that with v1.0.10 actually but did not fly the 350 too often recently with the WW MCDU not being compatible with the ini planes...) Philboyuser1000 Posted Thursday at 07:19 PM Posted Thursday at 07:19 PM (edited) Hi, I also have the same problems but only since the new SU3 1.5.4.0 Beta of the SIM. I rolled back to the SU2 version to back check if the problem still exists there but in SU2 this appears not. I also have to say that since 1.5.4.0 not only the MFD and OIS are flashing when you switch back from external to cockpit-view the whole cockpit is flashing, all button-lights are on and no button registers any input while that happens - also all button highlights from the sim are flashing on the buttons as well. I also noticed that the lighting on the surface of the cockpit textures also is off like its not corresponding to the actual "sim-lighting". After a few seconds the flashing stops the surface textures of the cockpit are back to normal and all is functioning like it should. Looks like they changed something with the lighting in the sim with the new beta and thats why this happens? I assume that because the problem with invisible engine spinners and blades in certain lights is fixed in the lates Beta build. If you want to see what I mean the guy from this topic has mentioned a similar problem but his screenshots show exactly what i mean with textures while the "flashing" occurs: EDIT: I tryed a bit this evening and found out that ist must be related to some type of changed LOD settings/curves they added with the last SU3 update. When you go in dev mode and activate "Use new LOD Curve" it gots even worse, the whole cockpit then looks like strait from MSFS2004 with almost no Antialiasing no reflections, no texts, no marks. Maybe the changes in LOD have to be adapted to the A350? I attached pictures for clarification: normal behaviour on SU3 1.5.4.0 with "old LOD Curve" after switching from external view to cockpit: this usually takes a few seconds the lighting and all goes back to normal: Edited Thursday at 11:46 PM by Philboyuser1000
Philboyuser1000 Posted Thursday at 11:47 PM Posted Thursday at 11:47 PM (edited) little appendix to my post as the filesize was exceeded: this is how it looks with the new LOD Curve enabled: What I also see is that from external view their is no "inside" of the plane only the outer shell where the livery is on is displayed when you watching through a window from the outside you see strait through the fuselage on the other side of the wing as the inside textures are not loaded when looking from external view. from the inside the cabin loads just fine. haza2 Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Hello, I can confirm MSFS are adjusting the LOD and you may get unexpected results. Please use SU2 if your having these issues. Thank you. 1
Philboyuser1000 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Problem is fixed. I posted the solution in this post:
