AnkH Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Hi all, love to fly this plane but what I always struggle with: I broadly use the default MSFS2024 keybindings for default functions such as switching to outside view or switching to the drone etc. At least because of the outside view being binded to "Backspace" I often have the situation that I am entering stuff via keyboard into the FMC (e.g. arrival and departure airports, weights, passenger numbers etc.) and each time I do a typo, I automatically use the "Backspace" key resulting also in switching to the outside view. This is utterly annoying, doesnt keyboard input temporarily disable all default keybindings? And no, I am not going to change tons of default keybindings just that I do not run into this issue with a single plane. And I bet others without issue did also not change their keybindings just to suit keyboard input in Ini's A350. So what could be wrong on my side? PS: I did already re-install the plane several times (not because of this bug) and it persists.
sunake Posted March 28 Posted March 28 Yeah I don't think the "ignore key bindings when typing" thing works very well. But I have just gotten used to it after two flights and I don't use my physical keyboard for any entries at all.
BillyBobJoe0987 Posted March 28 Posted March 28 I don't thing the ignore key binds when typing works at all. You mention that the backspace key still changes the view but pressing WASD still moves the sidestick too. This is causing a lot of people problems where the spoilers are deployed in flight. It is kind of annoying having to use my mouse on the built in keyboard to get around this.
slicker55 Posted Sunday at 09:32 AM Posted Sunday at 09:32 AM Just a suggestion, in the case outlined by the OP, have you thought about assigning a different key/combo for 'outside view'?

So if you don't need them, get rid of them on the A350.
