MFD Click Spot Issue When Using Head Tracking

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

I posted about this in Discord but got little to no response, and I’m getting desperate. This issue is the main reason I’m avoiding the A350—it makes flying it nearly unbearable.

As the title says, the MFD click spots often require multiple mouse clicks when using head tracking or any camera manipulation. Some suggested this might be related to FSRealistic due to its head movement features, but that’s not my case. My issue is directly tied to head tracking. Other users with different head tracking setups have confirmed the same, so it’s not tied to any specific third-party software.

This doesn’t happen with any other MSFS aircraft I own. The sim itself supports head tracking (like TrackIR), and aircraft like the FBW A380, which also use similar MCDU and ND click spots, work fine.

Worth noting: the Fenix A320 once had a similar problem with its EFB needing multiple clicks to respond. That was resolved since.

I love the ini A350—The A350 is my favorite aircraft in real life—but this bug makes the MFDs so frustrating to use that I avoid flying it. Please, help fix this. It affects both FS2020 and FS2024. On Discord, it wasn’t even acknowledged, so I’m hoping posting here gets some traction.

Video showcasing the issue is attached to said Discord thread.

Thank you to anyone reading.

Edit: also worth noting, the OIS does not have this same issue and works just as well when using head tracking.
