MSFS2024: ESC-Pause or camera change and back triggers a sort of Cold And Dark Mode

Symptom: 

When I press ESC and return, a series of inexplicable things happen in my A350-900: 

- Landing gear extends
- Strobe and navlights flash extremely fast
- Both engines shut down
- Flaps partially extend

This also happens to me sometimes when I switch to various views. I can already rule out a binding problem (Shift-7 or Shift-F7, for example). 

I can sometimes restart the aircraft and continue flying, sometimes not.
