sierrahotel504 Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Hello, I have noticed for the second time, when changing an approach (rwy) in flight, which had initially been set up on ground, the full FP will be deleted in the FMS. When I try to restore the FP by swapping the stored FP from SEC1 to active, it causes a WASM crash. I will try to reproduce this issue and document the WASM problem according to your FAQ. BR SH 1
Jeff Green Posted March 3 Posted March 3 Both myself and another person on the same arrival (both flying the A350) had our flight plans deleted when the controller asked us to change our approach from ILS to RNAV. I've confirmed this a bunch of times now, it either completely deletes the plan, partially deletes it, or makes the approach unusable. I was able to recover because I had copied the active to secondary and was able to swap it out, but this shouldn't have happened in the first place.
jaybird Posted March 4 Posted March 4 Just had the same problem, was enroute KATL/EHAM, I decided to tweak the VIA in the approach, but as soon as I did that... BAM, entire flight plan disappeared... Sigh, fortunately I was using time compression, and had really spent less than an hour before it happened. This is a BIG problem, I wonder what happens if you dont set arrival details at all?? The longer the flight the more chances the destination details will change 😞 I had nothing to copy so I just gave up for the evening... Please fix this Inibuilds!
sierrahotel504 Posted March 4 Author Posted March 4 Restoring the plan in my case is easily done by going to hdg, init request and activate fp (as when cockpit prep), then from pres pos direct next waypoint, nav. Worse case is the WASM crash when swapping the secondary FP of course. 1
jaybird Posted March 4 Posted March 4 This morning I tried a workaround... I just didn't set up the arrival, I wasn't sure if that would work, but I can confirm it does. I then did it enroute, and that did not cause the plan any problems. Of course it still means that you decide once, I haven't tried to change it again.... I'd like to complete the flight this time 🙂 BTW, this plane is a long haulers dream, I have auto step, and auto compression both on, its doing 4x on the way to EHAM.
