craigr Posted February 28 Posted February 28 (edited) Hi, I'm trying not to "bash" you guys here... but.. I've not managed to do a single flight end to end in this aircraft yet (all on MSFS 2024 with the beta enrolled in as instructed). Example problems I've had; 1. Repeated CTDs on load, this was a bit too frequent, although significantly less since the update released within the last hour or so. 2. Often fails to even load and sits on the MSFS loading screen waiting for the flight to commence after hitting fly now (this is still frequent). 3. After an automatic pause at top of descent, after 3 or more hours flying normally.. I un-paused the sim (as I was actually at the machine when the TOD was reached so the "un-pause" was almost immediate) and the aircraft proceeded to turn itself into what I can only describe as a Saturn V, hurtling upwards at an astonishing rate.. presumably to get into orbit or something... That was a surprise... and I imagine came as a bit of a shock for those in the back having a nap.. 4. I needed a lot of power to taxi (I dread to think of the mess I made at the gate) and then after getting to the runway threshold for some reason.. the aircraft "decided" it was no longer going to accept my tiller input and refused to turn left, even with full left tiller it actually decided to turn right. To be fair to you guys.. I do wonder whether this wasn't an A350 thing, and more an MSFS 2024 thing... so I wouldn't necessary put that at your door... and oddly after a restart it was good as gold.. 5. The aircraft loaded, after WASM data was re-generated but I got a flightdeck in cold and dark playing a constant tone (similar to the one Boeing makes when capturing an altitude) and no button presses (such as turning on external power etc.) worked... The flight deck was totally dead. After a subsequent restart it then failed to load completely. I am about to stop the sim again, delete the WASM folder (for probably the 30th time now, I do this so often I now have a batch script to do this for me automatically for both sims.. and have to wait for the recompile every time...) and try again. I feel that this just shouldn't be the case. 6. Loading times are massively variable, sometimes a couple of minutes and it's away.. sometimes much longer.. and sometimes so long I give up and just close the sim.. I'll be honest, when it's working (which isn't that often in my case) it's pretty dam good, the visuals are great, sound is good, system modelling seems (without being an expert) pretty complete and has a high degree of accuracy... But all the above has really taken the shine off of this for me, especially since it cost over £70. I am not "that guy" that reverts to simply demanding refunds for products at the first sign of trouble, I assure you.. I am really persevering with this thing.. and I've been trying to resolve my issues with the discord chat and this forum without hassling people (because I know they are bug fixing)... but it's just getting exhausting now... there is just always something... And I know everyone says "submit support tickets"... but I honestly wouldn't know where to start.. my problems aren't consistent... or easily repeatable.. and vary wildly.. etc... Is there something obvious I'm missing? Are further updates / fixes expected in the coming days? If so I'm tempted to just shelve it for now and wait for those to filter through... Thanks Craig Edited February 28 by craigr 1
craigr Posted February 28 Author Posted February 28 (edited) For those with problem 2 and 6.... when you're about to "fly" make sure on the MSFS 2024 map, you zoom RIGHT OUT then click fly now... after some digging around, and searching discord.. this appears to be a way to get MSFS 2024 to load the aircraft much quicker... worth a try if others are struggling... KDTWFlyer Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) In regards to problems 2 and 6; An alternative idea I haven't tested but I believe I also saw something on Discord where some people have found results by starting the load and then hitting ESC. then starting the load a second time almost immediately. If anyone saw my GSX reply from yesterday you can disregard it; It was GSX causing my problems in my case, not the A350 which I managed to fix. Edited March 1 by KDTWFlyer Edited to clear up that I misdiagnosed GSX as the problem
timex_27 Posted March 1 Posted March 1 After updating I am getting freezing and CTD. I can't even load anymore.
craigr Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 (edited) Another failed flight today, managed to setup, taxi, depart... hadn't quite got to the top of climb, was just looking through the FMS, browsing.. looking through the pages in the F-PLN page.. and CTD... Seriously, not a single flight completed... I am getting to a point where I genuinely think I can't use this product... Edited March 1 by craigr
craigr Posted March 1 Author Posted March 1 So the latest for me.. I decided to move to MSFS 2020.. everything was absolutely fine.. I could move my camera around the flight deck just fine.. no problems.. I pushed back and then for some reason.. nothing worked... I couldn't move my camera.. I couldn't move any controls.. Still not managed to complete a single flight with the A350.. I'm just at a point now where I give up..

Thanks Craig I don't think you are missing anything lot of people having issues with this plane. --------------------------- my ranty opinion I am also experiencing the issues on points 2 and 6. Managed to complete 1 very short flight in the 2020 version of this plane, even that did not go smoothly. The flight plan bugged out and was no longer visible after trying to enter an arrival / modify a STAR. This was my first Ini aircraft purchase, I have to say it has put me off purchasing further ini products. For £70 I expected the Aircraft to be in a much better state and thoroughly tested before launch. This feels like another "get it out the door and lets make some money and fix it later" deal. This practice is becoming far to common in flight sim and software in general. Its not helped by "you shouldn't expect it to fully work at launch" people... like no yes it should work at version 1.0
captainwhiptv Posted March 1 Posted March 1 (edited) This happened to me also ...I figured out later for what ever reason the mouse selected the middle console screen and the only way to get out was to click on that screen...this happen also when I was looking up had to reload flight.... timex_27 Posted March 2 Posted March 2 I am not sure this will fix everyone's problem, but what worked for me is doing what Inibuild recommends, joining MSFS 2024 SU1 beta. I did and that solved my problems.
specialsk Posted March 2 Posted March 2 Just had experience where after engine start I wanted to check my flight controls and none of the buttons in the cockpit would work, none of the touchscreens would work, etc. I could see buttons able to depress but screens wouldn't change, indicator lights wouldn't toggle, etc.
MarkyMarksti Posted Wednesday at 09:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:18 PM (edited) Gasp, As above I have attempted several flights now and when BATC confirms Arrival STAR and other ILS info. try to input in to FMC only for it to totally erase my flight plan.........AAAARRRGH!!! This happens every time, making any IFR flight impossible. When will you fix this? V1.2? and When? Edited Thursday at 12:03 PM by MarkyMarksti 1

Exactly the same thing when changing an arrival runway, from 33R to 24R at CYYZ, totally wiped the flight plan mid-atlantic. This is basic stuff and should not be happening
