CBass Posted January 18 Posted January 18 I'm having some issues with the Microsoft/Inibuilds A320neo in MSFS 2024 and I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar issues - or whether it's something I'm doing wrong. For some reason, I can't seem to get the aircraft to show the top of descent on the Navigation Display - and when it does, it shows far too late - sometimes as late as 3nm from my destination airport! Flying IFR, I set my flight up as normal, through the EFB and FMC. The AP follows my predetermined flight path without issue and holds my desired altitude - but just doesn't seem to want to show my top of descent. Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? Cheers.
Eddie Posted January 23 Posted January 23 Hello, We need some screenshots of the following whilst in cruise to verify:MCDU Perf Page + PFD FMA: To verify if the proper PERF mode (i.e. CRZ) is engaged. T/D and marker only shows up in CRZ PERF mode. (img1)MCDU Fuel PRED page: Verify the ZFW/ZFWCG fields are properly filled in. Without this data the VNAV calc may also fail. CBass Posted January 26 Author Posted January 26 Hi Eddie, Thanks for taking the time to respond. I appreciate you reaching out to help. I think I've managed to solve the issue with TOC/TOD - I was starting from a runway start with engines on - so hadn't been able to access the INIT 2 screen to enter the weight of the aircraft. Completing this page in the MCDU with engines off, seems to have solved that and TOC/TOD now show as normal. However, the one remaining issue I'm having is that I can't seem to pick up the glideslope, despite seemingly being at the correct speed and altitude. At TOD, I click to enter managed descent mode and enter the QNH. Once I pass the deceleration point, I activate APPR in MCDU, switch on the pilot side LS switch and the APPROACH switch. I appear to be at the correct speed and height, but the localiser and g/s annunciator don't seem to appear at the top of the PFD. I've included a picture of my PFD at BOD on approach. Should the localizer capture switch be on? I realise you probably have far more important things to do than give glideslope lessons to an idiot, but if anyone knows where I might be going wrong, I'd really appreciate the help. Thanks. Calum
BoeingSpeedbird Posted January 27 Posted January 27 The ILS identifier doesn’t seem to be showing (bottom left of the PFD). Check the rad/nav page on the MCDU to ensure proper ILS identifier is in. For example, EGPH automatically populates its ILS, but it is different from published charts, so I need to manually enter the correct info for the ILS to work.
