This might be out of scope since target for this is xbox users but it would be good to have a working transponder that can be manually changed.

 

The numpad by the transponder buttons move but the transponder code doesn't update.

 

Because of this we can't use ATC addons like BeyondATC which makes me sad.

Hello, what do you mean by that? The Transponder code can be changed freely as you want to. As on every Airbus transponder, you need to clear the last 2 digits to enter a new code. A GIF is attached below.
