I've had the same thing happen to me. Well, sort of. I was on final approach into EBBR, and I disengaged Auto Pilot because I wanted to bring her in myself.
As soon as the AP disconnected, the A350-1000 went into a nose dive, with no controls responding. As I was only about 1000ft above the ground, I smashed into the dirt. It was only after the plane bounced back up in the air that my controls responded again.
This was my first flight in the A350 and I was loving it, but that "landing" sure left a bad taste.
