  1. I'm with Messtr on this, the options that is the most realistic is that it's linked to the airline company. If you fly in the states, then its pounds and inches of mercury (at the end of the day when you look at an American METAR you'll only ever see inches of mercury so in that case you'll have to convert if you choose to keep the aircraft in metric mode).
  2. I agree with this, virtually all other 3rd party airliners model this and its useful as a pilot from a realism piont of view that while your passengers board, you get on with other things such as inputting your route, doing your fuel and load calculations etc.
