I too have been experiencing this issue - the aha moment for me was when my TCA quadrant was accidentally connected and both engines shut down over the Atlantic without any ability to relight (except when on the ground). it mirrored the other times this issue SEEMINGLY occurred out of no where. It's costing me hours with my VA!
FWIW the exact same thing occurred to me in 2020 in the Headwind a330 leading me to believe it was either a USB hub failing to deliver constant power, or this issue you mentioned above.
going to try this solution above and hope it works, I don't really have a reliable airbus options for long-hauls without the a330s.
