Hi Eddi,
first off all I am very happy that someone ist monitoring this threads an get in contact with the customer.
I realised the my post was maybe not precise enough. In fact, i am not able to switch from vloc to GPS with the PMS GTN 650.
If you can help me with that i can maybe fix it. Any help is apreciated.

Markus

Back shortly as booting FS to get precise instructions

Hello,
Thank you for the follow-up. We'll take another look. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Hi Eddie
Thank you.
I may have solved it.
Initially I just updated FS20 & FS24 though Inimanager & got the result expounded above.
So I went back & uninstalled the FS24 F406 & fully reinstalled it & took another flight into KBOS Rwy 33L, & this time the LOC green light came on!
I tried an ILS into 33L & it was going per plan then I fiddled with "Approaches" in the PMS50 650 GPS & things went somewhat awry.
On reflection I think if I leave the GPS subtleties alone & just run an ILS through the AP, I suspect it will work.
So rather than having your people chase this one, could I suggest that somewhere in your instructions you advise us to fully uninstall, then reinstall, the F406 after an update?
It seems to need that for the changes to "take".

Hello,
Have you tried the latest version (1.0.2) we pushed yesterday? Do these issues persist?
As for the sounds, what exactly are you referring to?Thank you
Eddie
Flew the 406 in MSFS 2024 this morning, after update 1.0.2.
Still have the ILS landing, lack of VOR/LOC switch functionality issue. The button is not 'live' so ILS approaches drift off course as they are not locking on to the ILS frequency when the 'dead' VOR/LOC button is pressed.
Has anyone been able to put together ILS landings in the MSFS 2024 F406?
Thanks

In case someone from Inibuilds reads this - could you have a look at activating the VOR/LOC button, top right of AP buttons cluster. Currently unable to do ILS landings on my PC & I think it may be because that button is dead.
Thanks

mined picked up LOC and GS fine, just couldn't hold the GS. LOC worked as normal. strange yours isn't
Stumbled upon the VOR/LOC button on the 9 button AP panel, located at the top right.
On my aircraft it is dead.
On yours?

just tried my first ILS approach with the AP and it picked up both lateral and vertical guidance, however it struggled to actually follow the vertical glidepath. it kept dipping below it and eventually i had to take over manual control as to not fly into the ground.
anyone else had issues with ILS AP?
Have been trying ILS approaches in FS24 & FS20 at different airports, with no success.
In neither case will it engage the Glide Slope when I hit GS & VLOC1 during the approach. Issue appears to be related to lack of an LOC button ?, as I can't get any 'morse' when dialed in to the ILS frequency on Nav1.

Postscript - Seems to have been solved. Was able to Autoland cleanly at KBO. Rwy 33L

In the course of learning this excellent aircraft I have attempted 2 Autolandings, & in each case the aircraft, on the glide slope, about 2 miles from the runway threshold on Autothrottle, has spooled up & started to climb away ilo actually landing.
Is there a written guide or video somewhere that covers Autoland settings?
I thought I had them set correctly but I must be missing something.
Thank you

Ok
Bring up the 650 Home Screen with the 8 icons on it.
Bottom left corner of the Icon set is "Default Nav"
Mouse left click on that & you should get the Default Navigation, (DN), screen with a CDI click spot bottom left of DN screen.
Click on the CDI logo & the Green VLOC1 in the middle bottom of the DN screen should turn to magenta 'GPS'.
You click on that CDI logo again when you want to get back to VLOC1.
Click the back button far bottom LHS to get back to the 650 Home page
