Is an FPA approach possible? The angle can be set with the FPA knob. What is the exact procedure for such a landing?

As soon as I'll set the DH, the speed display goes out, is this an existing bug or the normal behavior. And why should the display go out?
In contrast to the FPA setting, the speed display remains the same. By the way, what is the FPA for, is there a description?
