Googling and searching showed very little on this question... I often (always??) get this showing on the FMC at some stage. What is its meaning/significance? Thanks

Seems to work fine... no issues on takeoff this time round 🙂

Hi, and thank you. So if I have FLEX set up as described, hitting the TOGA button (I have TOGA mapped to my Saitek X52) initiates a FLEX takeoff, rather than switching the engines to TOGA power (at least in the iniBuilds aircraft, as obviously that is what most concerns me)??

Hi. I have watched the associated video(s) but I am still not clear on this - maybe I am too focussed on later Airbus models, with FLEX throttle detents and THR CLB indications on the PFD (etc!). In the A300-600, I click on FLX TO in the cockpit and set the temp. Before takeoff, I generally arm 'PROFILE' and 'NAV' and engage AP when I have a steady climb. But with AP engaged, the a/c descends to reach its climb speed, and I don't see any indications on the PFD that show I am in FLEX mode. Do I have to manually press 'AUTO' on the thrust panel? Would anyonbe kindly list the procedures for FLEX and what I should see in the cockpit. And apart from leaving TOGA set rather than selecting FLEX in the thrust panel, what differences are there in procedure for a TOGA takeoff? As I say, I have watched the videos but I am missing something.. the a/c should clearly not be descending to reach its climb speed for a start! Thank you.

I can see no way to clear/completely erase a flight plan (that has been wrongly entered, for example) - the CLR key doesn't help. Googled and searched and watched FMS tutorial videos - can anyone advise please? Thanks! 🙂

A similar entry also fixes the O/H cockpit door switch, which doesn't move at all in VR 👍

well, I had a good long search in the A300V2_cockpit.OBJ file to see if I could locate why the FD/FPV switch isn't moving as it should in VR - with no luck! However, I thought I might get the two switches working properly if I created a VR-Config file, which I did (in VR Tools). I then added a manipulator command for each switch at the end of the file - and now the switches are working three-way in VR just as they do on the PC monitor! It's not a fix as such, a bit of a 'sticking plaster job', but best I could do (not being an aircraft developer!), and as I say, it does seem to fix the problem. If anyone is interested, I can post the file. I guess that's be allowed?

Ok, sorry, I have mislead you a little here. I thought I had tested this on the PC monitor.. I just tried again, and the switch is indeed three-way, working fine. However, I only ever fly VR: in VR the switch will flick down, to off and back to centre, but it will not move up at all. (The FD three-way switch just below it works fine in VR, by the way). So it's just a VR fix at some stage that would be good. May even be able to do it myself (maybe!!). Thanks! 🙂

I was expecting a "TO CONFIG TEST NORMAL" indication when I press the button (as in the INI videos), but instead I just get a yellow notification 'Nav ADC' All I can find about that here is that it's a notification that I can clear - but what does it mean exactly, please? And why don't I get the 'test normal' clearance? If there were anything specifically wrong (which I am pretty sure there is not), e.g. no flaps, or trim not set, wouldn't I get a specific ECAM message about that? Thank you 🙂

Hi. This is X-Plane. I cannot toggle the switch up.. it's either down or centre. I have found that this only happens when I choose a FLEX takeoff. With TOGA, I am OK (and yes, I engage PROFILE once I am stabilised in climb). Thanks! 🙂

Not sure if this is connected: I get a green crosshair FD, but after takeoff it is indicating a negative position, i.e. in the brown area of the PFD. If I connect the AP, then of course the aircraft starts to dive. I have the altitude set correctly, the VS is at +1800ft/min and as far as I know I have done the same is in a number of tutorial videos I have been following.... did I forget something? Why might the FD be pointing me towards the ground?
-
Just a quick check.. I can't flick this switch up from the centre position. Isn't it supposed to be 3-way, and auto-toggle back to the centre? FD seems to be engaged anyway. Same for everyone or just me? Thanks

Ok, by trawling through a number of videos (I will watch the inibuilds tutorials on YouTube before I fly!), I see it's not the format that is the issue, but the fact that the plans need to be put into the general XP fms folder, not the flightplan folder in the aircraft. Who'd have guessed? (There is after all a text file in there saying this is where a plan goes?).

I have spent over 45 minutes Googling and testing this, with no luck. Please, could someone kindly tell me in what format I need to save flight plans for the XP11 A300-600 (just purchased). I use Little Navmap to create them, which only has an 'inibuilds for MSFS' export option) so that when I import them into the FMC, they will load? None I have tried so far, by trial and error, (fms, fpl..) has even been recognised. Maybe someone could kindly post a working flightplan that I can try out? (It would have been helpful if the little txt file in the flightplans folder had said what the format should be 🙂 ) Thank you.
