Welcome back everyone, we hope you are enjoying your Summer! We want to start out by saying “thank you” for all your support. Seeing pilots really enthusiastic about both the Bulldog and Gatwick has been incredibly encouraging, and we will certainly be continuing development on new products in future.
In collaboration with iniBuilds, we are incredibly excited to announce Gatwick Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Gatwick is one of the most popular and busiest airports in the UK, and we were incredibly excited to bring a rendition into the ecosphere. This scenery package will be a significant upgrade from the X-Plane version, with certain areas of the terminals upgraded for more optimal UV/Texture mapping, more ground details, custom ortho, support for MSFS based features and more. Ground layouts will also be based on the 2020/2021 version, including new A380 pier and construction works around Pier 6.
With Summer in full swing, take command of busy holiday routes with short-commuter passenger hops. Gatwick also has ample opportunities for long-hauls, cargo, and even maintenance operations with the new Boeing hanger. We expect to see a lot of Orange at this airport!
Gatwick for Microsoft Flight Simulator will be arriving this summer. Coming soon to the iniBuilds Store and MSFS Marketplace.

Origami Studios has released v1.2 of London Gatwick (EGKK) for X-Plane 11. A changelog is available below.
This update can be downloaded via your iniBuilds Store account: store.inibuilds.com/accountNote : For those of you with the Toliss who frequent on an online network, this might be for you, as we've put in the runway requirements for its MCDU RNAV runway selection for the 08L/26R (this was previously disabled for quite a few reasons.) You will have to manually enable this via the included configurations.
v1.2 (Hotfix)
- Added optional configuration to enable 08L/26R. This will allow for RNAV MCDU selection in the Toliss aircraft. (Off by default to avoid conflicts with AI traffic and other third-party programs)
- Added ability to use X-Plane default pushback

6-cylinder? These were directly recorded from a Bulldog 😛 The subwoofish sounds are from gyazo sound processing.
-
Hi Gordon,
Appreciate the offer and we're always open to that if that is something you still wish to help us with. We have done some work recently to the sounds using whatever samples we could get ahold of.
Bare in mind, these are w.i.p. I don't have a timeframe for v1.1 just yet. Gyazo is also heavily distorting the bass from what it actually is imo.

It's known. Fix was meant to come out Christmas but it got rolled in v1.1.
-
We'll try our best, we're currently looping back around to the Bulldog and additional features so we'll see what we can do.
-
Beautiful. Do you mind if I reposted this picture? 😄

Hello there. Thanks for the comments, the sounds we gathered during development of the Bulldog was a bit limited since (covid). So we couldn't get any sound samples (we're open to improvement on this if someone was able to work with us to source some).
The installation is fairly standard for most SASL planes, and instructions should be in the manual. Would be open to hearing which bits were difficult/confusing so we can improve on that.
-
For manual start it should be off. Just to double check you have selected a fuel tank source via the pedestal?
-
Hey Amo. Glad to see you on.
So apologies for the long response time. I've been the sole holdup on these bugs and a new patch coming out, but Dan has poked me onto this.
So the issue here is that the aircraft will not set some of the custom parameters that we've set for the aircraft (fuel and I believe the ignition selector knob). The aircraft will still start manually, but it is on our radar.
-
Hi Flyingscotsman,
At the moment, this appears to be an error with on our end. We've noted this down as a bug.
-
Hi DRH,
Can you confirm if you're manipulating the prop by hand or using a throttle quadrant hardware?
Next update...when and what?

Some of the reason for the delay, I had to look down the barrel of the gun on this. The Bulldog was created in 3DS Max, but it seems that Laminar are dropping support for it and authoring for it was getting difficult. So I spent some time trying to port this over to blender, and so far the only outstanding things are animations and manipulators. Should make things easier going forward
